Top 10 Favorite Restaurants in Estes Park

Estes Park Dining

With Restaurant Week & Taste of Estes around the corner on April 12-24, we've got delicious food on the brain! One of the questions visitors to Estes Park often ask us is, "Where do you recommend we eat?".  Afterall, vacation for must of us means a break from cooking and doing dishes!  So we've put together a list of our Top 10 Favorite spots to eat when you are in town:

  1. Asian - Cafe De Pho Thai serves delicious Vietnamese and Thai food with fresh flavors and spices.  Meals here are rich, sensory experiences without being heavy. They also offer take out and delivery, so if staying home by a roaring fire is more your pace give them a call!
  2. Bar-B-Que - Smokin' Daves slow smokes their meat until it's tender and full of that great smoky flavor we all love about good bar-b-que. They have a family-friendly atmosphere that can easily accomodate large groups.  The staff is friendly, and it's a terrific spot to stop for lunch or dinner after a day in Rocky Mountain National Park!
  3. Breakfast - Egg & I does breakfast right - fresh squeezed orange juice, good coffee, wonderful eggs benedict, and great waffles! It's a casual, happy place with friendly service.  And they have lunch too!
  4. Casual - Poppy's Pizza & Grill is our favorite spot to grab a burger.  They also have great pizza, sandwiches & wraps, hearty soup & salad, and a good kids' menu. You've got to try their handmade, thinly sliced onion rings! They have a great atmosphere, and are located along the Riverwalk so it's always fun to take an after lunch/dinner stroll.
  5. Coffee House - Kind Coffee lives up to their name.  And they serve really good coffee and treats too!  In addition to their smiling staff, Kind Coffee makes the conscious effort to support sustainability by serving certified organic and fair trade coffee.  While you are there, pick up a bag of Flood Mud beans and give to Estes Park Flood Recovery.
  6. Italian - Dunraven Inn uses the freshest ingredients, and you can taste the difference! If you are the type of person who wants to create memories when you dine, and always seeks the non-chain restaurants when you travel, you must go to the Dunraven Inn! The kids and "kids at heart" will never forget the walls covered with dollar bills and Mona Lisa's smiles.
  7. Mexican - Pepper's is the perfect place to stop for a quick, delicious meal. Technically it is fast food because their fresh, homemade Mexican won't keep you waiting! Try their fish tacos and enchiladas.
  8. Romantic - Fawn Brook Inn in Allenspark isn't too well known by visitors, and we sort of hate to share it with you because it's such a special place.  For over 33 years the Fawn Brook Inn has served intimate, 5 star meals with an old world flair.  Gourmet and delightful, this is the perfect spot to celebrate romance.  It is only open on weekends from 5:00-8:00 pm, and reservations are a must.
  9. Steak & Seafood - Orlando's Steakhouse serves hormone free steak, organic, local vegetables, fresh seafood, homemade soups, and tantalizing desserts. Chef Tandy is passionate about what he does, and that comes through in their high quality menu.
  10. Tavern & Music - Rock Inn is a lively gathering spot with local flair and live music.  They serve classic comfort food and a full bar with a side of bluegrass, rock, and acoustic singer/songwriters. You can count on a good time!
