For the Cache La Poudre, 2011 was one of the highest water level seasons since 1983, and 2002 the lowest. Snowpack basin totals for the Poudre River were high and left reservoirs with plenty of water that will soon be moving downstream to local farmers for irrigation. There are 8 different diversions for storage on the Poudre, and how the snowpack melts is as important as how much there is. Rafting operators agree that extremes aren't necessary for a good time on the river!
