Estes Park is an amazing place for bikers of all types and skill levels. If you want to pedal on two wheels, you’ll be able to find the perfect adventure either around Estes, in Rocky Mountain National Park or on one of the surrounding public lands.
Road bikers can test their mettle on the many canyon roads around Estes or inside the park. Winter roads in RMNP open first to bikers in the spring before opening to cars for the season which provides a great window to explore. Trail Ridge Road makes for an epic adventure with difficult climbs and about 25 miles worth of exciting downhill from the Continental Divide. If you are into mountain or gravel biking there are nearly endless single track and 4WD roads to explore in the nearby national forests. Old Fall River Road inside RMNP is another great option.
The Stanley Park Bike Park in town is great for riders of all levels, and includes skills-loops, pump-tracks and a 1.25 mile single track loop. Or if cruising is more your thing, circling the 3.75 mile Lake Estes Bike Path on a cruiser or e-bike is an easy ride with great views. If you didn’t bring your own bike – don’t worry – you can rent a traditional or e-bike at a local shop.
For a really fun time book an e-bike tour with Ride Colorado. They will provide a comfy electric bike and a knowledgeable tour guide to teach you the history and show you the sites of Estes Park!
