Tennis & Pickle Ball
Tennis & Pickle Ball courts at Stanley Park are maintained by the Estes Valley Recreation and Parks District. Visit the EVRPD Website directly for more information!
Disc Golf
Becoming more popular all the time, several disc golf courses can be found in and around Estes. Here again the EVRPD is a good option with their course adjacent to their 9-hole golf course. BUT for a hidden gem with stellar reviews check out the course at Castle Mountain Lodge.
Golf Courses
Have you ever played golf with an elk herd? In the fall, elk love to graze on the golf course grass as they move down from the mountains for the fall rutting season. Estes Park has two traditional golf courses open to the public.
The 18 hole golf course is open mid April through October. It was recognized as the sixth most beautiful golf course in the US by Mitch Kaplan, author of The Golf Book of Lists!
The 9 hole golf course is open all year daily. In winter, 8am – noon (longer on nicer days!). More often than not, the fairways are free of snow and full of elk – feel free to play through! No tee times needed! From Nov. – March winter green fees apply.
The 9 hole golf course has changed their child policy to be more family oriented and inclusive. Kids who are not golfing are now allowed on the course once a series of waivers are signed.
It’s true – golf balls travel farther in the thin Estes Park air… but not any straighter!
Visiting a nearby Front Range golf course makes a great day trip. Golf courses in nearby communities are listed below as links to their websites. Combine a scenic drive with a round of golf!
