The Park experienced some trail damage from fall floods & many campsite bridges are missing.  McGraw Ranch Road and Cow Creek Trailhead are closed; Dunraven Trailhead is closed to the North Fork area.  The Ypsilon Lake trail, Alluvial Fan trail, Boulder Brook trail, and Sandbeach trail bridges and the bridge at Ouzel Falls are missing.  The section of trail between the Finch Lake Junction and Calypso Cascades is closed.  Contact 970-586-1206 for up to date trail status.

Roosevelt National Forest on the east side of Estes Park offers lower-elevation Estes Park hiking trails up mountains, through forests, and to historic sites. Some of these less-trafficked trails are also open to bikes, horses, and dogs. For specific information, link to these pages from the Canyon Lakes Ranger District site: Lion Gulch, Crosier Mountain, Lily Mountain, North Fork, Round Mountain.
