As winter is approaching, the animals are starting to get ready. Pictures taken in early November.
Come join in on Estes Park's traditional annual tree lighting ceremony on November 21 from 3:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. at the Riverside Plaza (intersection of Rockwell Street and Riverside Drive). This is a free event that brings the whole Estes Park community out to enjoy one-of-a-kind family activities: Snowman toss, reindeer ornament crafts, radio flyer wagon rides, candy cane hunt, getting pictures taken inside a life-sized snowglobe, and holiday caroling. Everyone can enjoy a hot chocolate and s'mores, and the kids will love getting an early visit from Santa Claus!
At 5:30 p.m. sharp, as the sun is setting, join the mayor and Estes Park officials as the switch is flipped, the tree is lighted and thousands of lights throughout the village start sparkling to mark the beginning of the holiday season!
This can be a time to think of others and support those in need - Estes Park Helping Hands committee will be selling 2015 collector holiday ornaments supporting local families in need, and Blue Santa donations will be accepted (non-perishable food, gifts and hygiene products) for those disabled and elderly community members that need a little extra holiday help.
