Ride the Rockies is coming to RMNP

In its 31st year the iconic 6-day bike ride, called Ride the Rockies, will be heading through Rocky Mountain National Park.  Ride the Rockies will be happening this year from June 12th through June 17th  for a total of 6 days of riding.  They will be starting June 16th (Day 5) in Grand Lake, riding over Trail Ridge Road and the Continental Divide, and ending the day in Estes Park!

On its way, Day 5 will see the 2,000 bikers from all 50 US states and several other countries traveling 49 miles and riding an impressive 4,636' of elevation gain.  They will get to experience over 11 miles above 11,000 feet and will be treated to some amazing views and scenery on the way.  It will be an experience of a lifetime!  Come experience Colorado's version of the Tour de France and cheer on the professional bikers as they make their way through Rocky Mountain National Park!

Estes Ark - Slot Car Racing and Sluicing in Estes Park

Did you ever wonder about the Estes Ark as you drove into Estes Park on Highway 34? What's inside it? It's a really fun place for the whole family - kids and adults alike!

You can head downstairs to the Rainbow Curve to what's known as "Colorado's Oldest Slot Car Raceway."  Up to 6 people can race on the 100 foot slot car track - you can either rent the track with equipment (1/24 or 1/32 scale slot cars) or bring your own.

Or, if slot car racing isn't your thing, you can take the kids outside for some good old-fashioned panning for gems, fossils and arrowheads in the mountains!
